Why is tempered glass recommended?

Tempered glass is stronger than acrylic glass, can withstand ice hockey and player collisions, and is safer to use.
- Clearer vision
Tempered glass is clearer than acrylic glass when watching the game, which helps to improve the audience's viewing experience.
Although acrylic glass is light, it is easy to scratch and turn yellow, which is easy to affect the appearance and safety when used in the actual use of ice hockey rinks. Therefore, it is not recommended to use it in regular competition venues.
Suggestions for customers in different regions to choose glass
Different countries and regions have different climate environments, budget requirements, and the popularity of ice hockey, and the demand for glass is slightly different.
For example:
- Nordic countries: Ice hockey is popular in these regions, and high requirements are placed on glass strength. Recently, a Danish customer consulted about the ice hockey rink project. After communication, we suggested that they use 12mm thick tempered glass to ensure safety and clarity during long-term use. They are also satisfied with this configuration.
- Middle East: The temperature is high, and customers pay more attention to the heat resistance and stability of glass. We recommend that additional explosion-proof film be applied to the glass surface to improve heat and impact resistance.
- North America (such as Canada): Some customers prefer laminated glass because it has a multi-layer structure and will not splash even if it breaks, which can further improve safety performance.
