12mm tempered glass features 20%–30% higher impact resistance and bending strength than 10mm version. Stability and Anti-deformation Performance
Under the same span, 10mm glass is easy to produce slight bending deformation. 12mm tempered glass has higher rigidity and better flatness, with no obvious sagging or shaking after long-term use.

4. Process and Industry Safety Standards
Both specifications meet national tempered glass standards in flatness, fragment state and stress index. They can be customized with edge polishing, chamfering, drilling and heat soak treatment to reduce self-explosion probability.
When used for guardrail and court enclosures, they are commonly fitted with stainless steel connectors and countersunk screws. 12mm tempered glass supports larger installation spans without intermediate columns, presenting a more transparent overall look.
5. Selection and Purchasing Guidelines
With the same material and craftsmanship, 12mm tempered glass is slightly more expensive. Choose reasonably according to actual scenarios to save costs.
Non-standard thin glass is prohibited for outdoor and sports venue projects. 10mm glass is only limited to low-risk indoor scenarios; 12mm is recommended as the first choice for outdoor safety.
When placing orders, confirm full tempering, fine round edge and heat soak treatment, to avoid semi-tempered or ordinary annealed glass with insufficient safety strength.
